Gallery Attendant Position

Job Description:

The ETAMU University Gallery is seeking students for the position of Gallery Attendant with availability Monday through Friday from 11 am to 5 pm and some evenings.

Students interested in learning more about how art galleries are managed, including day-to-day operations and exhibition installation, are encouraged to apply. A background in art is NOT required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Monitor the University Gallery to ensure the safety of the art on display
  • Greet and assist gallery guests
  • Track the number of guests who visit the gallery
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the art gallery
  • Help with the installation of art exhibitions
  • Complete an accurate timesheet and submit for approval promptly
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the Department of Art
