Ceramics Studio Assistant

Work-Study Permit Students ONLY:

The Department of Art is looking for student workers who can assist in the Ceramics Studio in the Wathena Temple Fine Arts Building.

Job duties include:

-Keeping sinks and work tables clean and making sure students clean up after themselves

-Mixing clay

-Mopping floors

-Helping to maintain a materials inventory

-Tidying up the outside kiln court including sweeping

-Cleaning kiln shelves and applying kiln wash onto them

-Helping to keep the lab organized and running smoothly

It's a dirty job at times but can be fun to be a part of a calm and creative atmosphere. Art majors are welcome, but we will consider other majors as well, with the right attitude!

Student worker must be reliable, communicate well, and willing to help in whatever way they can.

The Department of Art will review all applications and make a decision based on the best qualified students for the department job opportunities.
