Welcome Desk Worker - Work Study

You can find your place, host an event, join an organization, or just relax at the Student Center. We are here for you.

 

Job Description:

 

The Welcome desk worker provides guests with information, directions and services provided at the Sam Rayburn Student Center. They will be responsible for answering the phone, providing information to students and faculty, transferring calls, and assisting anyway possible. They’re also responsible for keeping the first floor/outdoor areas neat and tidy.

 

Qualities and Skillsrequired:

  

  • Greeting and Welcoming visitors.
  • Knowledge of the Campus.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Bright and Positive attitude.
  • Answering Phones and Emails.
  • Computer and telephone skills.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness and Order.

 

 

  Rayburn Student Center: Welcome Desk

  Supervision: 

  Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00/hour

  Hours/Week: No more than 19 hours per week

  Position Type: Work Study or Regular

  Required: GPA: 2.5 or higher.

  Level: Entry
