Marketing Assistant Work Study

Position:

Marketing Assistant will design concepts and designs for a variety of print and digital media that include flyers, posters, banners, brochures, logos and website graphics. In addition, students will assist with the printing and production of various projects.

Graphic designers will be employees of the Rayburn Student Center and will be required to meet the expectations of the department.

Primary Duties:

Work various departmental events which include evenings and weekends.

Effectively use DSLR, lighting, and audio production techniques and equipment operation.

Perform production functions involving lighting and audio recording.

Develop promotional videos and campaigns.

Responsible for numbering and filing images and videos.

Utilize various video/photography delivery systems.

Assist the Associate Director in scheduling photo/video shoots to record various activities.

Meet project deadlines so that events are properly recorded and advertised.

Collaborate with others in the marketing program to complete assigned tasks on time.

Maintain graphic standards of the university and the Rayburn Student Center.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:

Demonstrated skills or experience in Adobe Premiere or After Effects for video

Demonstrated skills or experience in Photoshop or Lightroom (preferable) for photos

Demonstrated skills or experience working with iMac computers

Work or academic course experience in photography, marketing, advertising, graphic design

Desired Skills:

Academic concentration in photography, videography, marketing, graphic design, advertising, or public relations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to work well with others

Time management and organization skills

Ability to navigate computer software and online platforms

Qualities and Skills required:

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite Programs including Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Positive and Self Motivated
  • Detail and Deadline Orientated

Marketing Services Department serves the division of student affairs and student groups. Marketing Assistant are supervised by the Associate Director.
