Work Study Student Worker Position - Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics seeks Work Study students to assist in the math department office in a variety of ways. Eligible work study students are wanted to act as office workers. Duties for office workers include general office work such as answering phones, greeting visitors to the office, checking out calculators, restocking printers and supply area, making copies, laminating, creating and updating files on the computer, updating Excel sheets, running errands, keeping the office neat and clean, decorating the office for homecoming, assisting with social media posts, and other minor office duties. Successful candidates are able to maintain a positive work environment by interacting in a friendly and professional manner with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

In addition, the successful candidate must agree to complete all required training, both in person and online, in a timely manner, and abide by all training protocols, including local, state, and federal laws including but not limited to those laws pertaining to education, such as FERPA. The successful candidate will receive information about all required trainings and departmental expectations of professionalism and ethical behavior. 

When the department begins the interview process, each candidate who is needed for an interview will be contacted directly. There is no need to follow-up in person in the department unless contacted by the Department to come for a meeting.
